What are Dental Implants & Restorations?
A dental implant restoration is typically used to replace one or more teeth that are permanently missing. The implant itself consists of several parts, all of which help to replace a missing tooth so that you can feel confident in your smile. Implants are permanent, as they do not crack, break or fracture with time. Dr. Bright is able to perform the dental implant restoration procedure in our comfortable office.
Why are Dental Implants & Restorations needed?
You may want or even need to have a dental implant placed because you’re missing a tooth. Instead of going with a partial denture or fixed bridge, the implant is inserted directly into the bone where the tooth is missing so that it only replaces that particular area. Implants may even be used for denture patients who want a secure-fitting appliance that won’t slip or fall out.
What makes you a candidate for Dental Implants & Restorations?
In order to place a dental implant, surgery is involved. This means that you need to be healthy enough to undergo oral surgery in order for the implant to be successful. Before having the implant placed, you’ll come into our office for a consultation with Dr. Bright. Our goal is to provide easy, affordable dental implants that correct your smile problems.
What happens during the procedure for Dental Implants & Restorations?
You will first receive anesthetic or sedation of your choice to make the implant surgery more comfortable. Dr. Bright will then insert the implant into the bone. Over a few short months, the implant will osseointegrate with the bone so that is becomes permanently fused. You’ll then come back in to have a new dental crown placed on the top of the implant. The implant procedure is quick and easy, taking just about an hour in our office. We can even place multiple implants as needed. You will be given instructions on how to care for your new implant after surgery has been completed.
